Angle front cabinet- blank front, door on one side-rotate, measure to fit.
I'll see what I can do with the suggestions. Thanks!!

I am a cabinet guy, having built and installed quite a few. So I like to do the details so things get built the way I expect.
For the special corner cabs in this island, I used Chief to model the doors by making the "cabinet" 1/16" thick, and then specified only one door in each corner instance to show in the schedule. Then I call out in the schedule that it's a custom and I show them how it's built with a Sketchup model.
I will play with this and see what I get. Thanks. We show interior elevations so having it look correct and functioning is a must.

Place a Panel adjacent to the Washer and use a Custom Counter Top. Chief doesn't have a Cabinet like that.
You could also just create a PSolid, Block it and specify that it's to be treated as a Cabinet and included in the Schedule. But IMO that's overkill.
I have the base cabinet done that way. Needing an upper at that angle.

Check in CA
MENU>> EDIT >> Preferences >> General >> Folders >>
Find and click "All Program Path" button ...
For Toolbars locate the path.
and copy everything from that folder.
Every single folder is declared there..
To determine location to transfer to .. do the same to discover destination paths thing on your laptop. Copy what you need.
Thanks I finally found this info . Thank you for the response.

I'm sure this has been asked and answered but I have done a search and can't seem to find anything. I want to take my settings from my desktop and transfer to my laptop. X8 on each machine was installed to default locations. Want my tool bars, short key, library, etc. Thanks

When you are pushing different elevations to the layout the layer set definitions go with it. So when you push with the "1/4" Elevation" (1, 2) set all of the text sizes and so forth go with it.....
So to get the 3/16" elevations to appear correct (consistent text sizes - 1/8" tall when printed) you need to create a new layer set (3), rename it, then for the text sizes go to (5) and set the desired Text Style. If the one you want is not already created you can do so pretty easily by clicking on (4) and setting it up there.
Thank you very much. I got it all set up now.

In your 3/16" layer set is your Roof Label text style still set to 1/4 scale ? Just create a new text style and apply it to that layer.
I thought I would need to do that. LOL I will be on Chief Architect full time next week. coming from AutoCAD and Revit. Annotations are way easier in those but I'm sure Chief is working on it.

So I need to make a 1/4" and 3/16" layer set on top of the 1/4" and 3/16" annotation sets?

I might be missing something, but I have 4 elevations. 2 are 1/4" scale and 2 are 3/16" scale to fit on one sheet. I have annotation sets for 1/4" and 3/16". When I change the roof label to 1/4" text style for the 1/4" elevation it changes the one for the 3/16" scale elevation as well. Is their a way to make this work??

How can anyone guess what you mean by "don't have to re-type them every time"?
You do not have to retype room labels. They are controlled by
Edit> Default Settings>Rooms>Room Label>Text>
"Closet" "Storage" "Bedroom" "W.I.C." make your own room labels. Think about the question before responding. LOL Your talking about the text style not the Room Label itself. The subject even says Room Labels, not text style. LOL

Asking before I post in suggestions.. Is there a way to have specific room labels so you don't have to re-type them every time??

This needs to be fixed ASAP. Having older plans and needing to import the settings would be very helpful and save time.

Do those layout pages have .pdf's on them, or is it all layout pages?
No PDF's

I have a 3k custom built PC and when I undo or change sheets in layout it takes a very long time. Is this normal or do I need to change a setting some where?

Try this...
In your Layer Display Options, change the Text Style for your various Labels lI use cam
I use "wall elevation" set to display as callout. Would be very nice to have this as another "annotation set" sub category to have set automatically. Thanks for the quick reply.

Working with the annotations and when I change my plan from 1/4 to 3/16 I have everything working great except the labels. They are just that label. Am I missing something here?? I want my labels to change from 1/4 to 3/16 as well when I change my "Active Annotation Set Control". Is there a way to do this??

How can you get this to show in feet and inches?
