auto dormer over window

I have a house plan with a low second story roof line, and I would like to have a window that goes essentially through the middle of where the fascia runs.  I want to create a dormer that eliminates the fascia where the two overlap, but it appears like the auto dormer feature keeps the fascia.  Is there an easy way to accomplish this task without manually modifing the roof?

you need a gable/roof line.  It is in the build roof dialogue box.

select it and drag then line over the roof edge where you want it and

rebuild roofs.
