Residential Drafter – 1099

MOPO DESIGN studio, llc. is seeking a Residential Drafter experienced in Chief Architect X15 & 17 to assist with residential construction documents.

This is a 1099 contractor position focused on Drafting Only.

 

All Design & Drafting direction, Coordination, and Engineering concepts are provided. The role is to assist with drafting final construction drawings as directed.

 

Scope of Work:

• Draft floor plans, elevations, and sections.

• Assemble permit-ready residential plan sets

• Apply notes, dimensions, and details per provided examples

• Revise drawings based on redlines

• Maintain consistent layers and annotation sets

Requirements:

• Strong proficiency in Chief Architect (X15 & X17)

• Residential experience (Remodels & Additions)

• Comfortable working from markups and redlines

• Ability to closely match existing plan styles

• Reliable communication and turnaround

Details:

• 1099 contractor

• Part-time (~10 hours per week / on a Per-project Basis OR As-Needed)

• Projects located in the Portland Metro Area (Oregon)

• Open to out-of-state candidates (as long as good communication via email, phone and/or video calls are reliably maintained.)

• $25–$40 per hour, based upon experience.

• Long-term opportunity for growth into design support based on demonstrated skill, accuracy, and adherence to established standards.
