North pointer not updating bearing readings on lot perimeter poly lines.

I am using X14. After adjusting my terrain perimeter to my lot boundaries, I placed the north pointer and positioned it to the correct angle. In the line specification dialog I have the line style set to display both line length and show all angles. The line length is correctly displayed, however the angles still remain at 0 deg / 90 deg / 180 / and 90 deg. When I rotate the north pointer the angles bearing locations on the line are not changed. The plot plan text definition is set to rotate with the plan.  I'm wondering if I'm missing something that links the north pointer to the poly lines. I haven't been able to find a lot of info on the topic. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Edit/Default Settings/CAD/General CAD/ set to "Quadrant Bearing"
