We are seeking a drafter or designer to visit our church sanctuary in Charlotte, NC, take accurate measurements, and create a digital replica of the space in Home Designer Pro.

The purpose of this project is not to produce permit-ready architectural drawings, but rather to give our church leadership a working digital model of the sanctuary that we can use internally to explore renovation and layout ideas.

Scope of Work:

  • On-site visit to measure the sanctuary (walls, ceiling height, stage, doors, windows, seating areas, etc.).

  • Produce an accurate as-built floor plan and 3D model in Home Designer Pro (or compatible Chief Architect format).

  • Deliver the editable project file so we can adjust seating layouts, finishes, and other renovation concepts ourselves.

Requirements:

  • Experience with Home Designer Pro (or Chief Architect software).

  • Familiarity with as-built measuring techniques (laser measure, etc.).

  • Ability to translate measurements into a clean, accurate floor plan.

  • Located in or able to travel to Charlotte, NC.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience modeling large open spaces (churches, community centers, gyms).

  • Ability to suggest efficient workflows for importing custom elements (pews, stage furniture, AV booths).

Deliverable:

  • An editable Home Designer Pro file (.plan) containing a faithful replica of the sanctuary building.

This is a one-time project with the potential for follow-up work if we later decide to model additional areas (fellowship hall, classrooms, etc.).

I am late in this response but will be glad to discuss your needs. I have worked on several Church remodels, additions, and new construction projects over the years.
