Default Door - no longer part of user library

I’m experiencing an unusual issue with a template Chief file. It contains a custom-modeled modern prairie garage door that I created some time ago. Unfortunately, the original library item appears to be misplaced and cannot be located. While the modern prairie garage door still displays correctly within the Chief file, I’m unable to add it to the library. Whenever I attempt to add it, the door converts into a different style.

It seems that because the door is now embedded in the Chief file and the original library item is missing, I can’t reuse the design elsewhere. Even copying and pasting it into another Chief file doesn’t work.  If anyone's run into this and knows a way around it I appreciate any advice.  If it was just the one door I'd probably just create a new model - but this same issue will apply to many doors.

Try this:

If you select the door, you should get 2 different Edit tools for adding to the library.  One is called Add to Library.  The other is called Add to Library As.  Use the second tool and select the actual Door to add to your library.  What you're probably experiencing is that you're selecting Add to Library which is adding the doorway.  If the Door Style for that doorway is set to Use Default then its not actually carrying the custom door with it, rather its just carrying that Use Default setting so its using whatever the Default door is in your current plan.
