Making Deck Board Surface Semi-Transparent

Good day,

I am looking to make the deck board surface semi-transparent, to allow a slight visibility of the joist location below.

This is a vector view with the material as Azek Sandy Birch (I know the color does not matter)

Choosing a deck board, then 'Open object' and changing fill to anything renders no change.

Is there a way to do this properly?

Thank you - Drew

Drew,

I was able to do this.  I just modified the Material Transparency Property.  In this case, my deck boards were Redwood.  Is this what you needed?

Hey Jim,

Well that was pretty quick and easy!!

Yes, and Thank You.

I was just missing that element of the equation.

Good job - thanks again.
