RobCameron
Hi all, I'm new to HD and I've been muddling with a problem for the last two days with no success. Most things seem pretty intuitive along with the tutorials but I'm having an issue connecting walls to the roof (see 1 & 2) as well as being able to specify a 16" parallel chord roof truss for a cathedral ceiling/shed roof on the secondary suite connected to the main house (see 3, it only shows as what appears to be a 2x8 rafter). I've turned off "Flat ceiling over room" and set the finished ceiling height to 6 1/2' for the room as I want the ceiling to start rising with a 2:12 slope from the hip wall. Any suggestions on how to go about this? Anything I do seems to affect the design of the main house roof. Does this shed roof have to be manually built? I don't have any hair left to pull out! Thanks in advance. Rob Happy Endings.plan
Gawdzira
Good luck with that one. Clicking on a link titled "Happy Endings.whatever"? Yeah, not falling for that again (and again).
Gawdzira
Also, this is the forum for Chief Architect Premier. HD pro has it's own forum. The info is different across the 2 programs. I almost exclusively build roofs manually. Are you displaying roof blocking layer?

And "Happy Endings" is a bit of a running joke for the name, it is a retirement place. :-)
