Dennis_Gavin Posted February 21, 2015 Share Posted February 21, 2015 Found a nice tree in 3D Wharehouse only 221 KB. Try to bring it into Chief and it locks up the program. From the looks of it, it has a ton of faces. Tried converting to 3DS and reducing polygons in Accutrans. THe result was a huge file of about 45 MB. So much for reducing polygons. Can't figure how a 221 KB SKP file that loads easily in Sketchup poses such a problem for Chief etc. leafy-tree.zip Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Louie_Carter Posted February 22, 2015 Share Posted February 22, 2015 I downloaded your file, opened in SU, then did a File Save Copy As............then tried to import to Chief......but I then got the Unexpected Error notice...........checked the file size and it was 219 KB. I am using X5. I then went back to SU and saved to SU 6 version. I then got a message that it had too many faces. While my results were the same as yours, I have no clue on the answer.
