Morgan_Goodwin Posted October 9, 2023 Share Posted October 9, 2023 I imported a DWG file from someone else to edit the electrical plan. I was able to locate walls, windows, and doors with CAD to walls, but all of the electrical items are just showing as CAD symbols and don't have any of the defaults of an electrical item: I.e. the connect electrical tool isn't recognizing any of the preexisting lights, switches, fans. Kbird1 Posted October 10, 2023 Share Posted October 10, 2023 AFAIK Chief does not convert 2D CAD symbols to 3D symbols at all , so you will need to replace the current CAD blocks with the appropriate Elec. symbol Best to put questions over in the Q+A Forum too , more people will look at it there....
