Hi, I am going through a tutorial on CA training videos (Focus -Creating a split level home) and following the instructions I created a roof but the gable end created an unwanted gable overhang. I cannot figure out why. Can anyone help me figure out why it is doing this and how to get rid of it? Thank you

If you attach the plan file (save and close first), and say what version (X12 etc) you are using.

Roofs build over rooms. Is there a small room defined at that end?

Align the deck walls with the end wall of the house. Here I've done the one circled.

Rebuild the roof, and probably should leave Auto Rebuild Roof and Foundation on until you need to make manual modifications.

It worked. Why having "auto rebuild roof" on worked? What if I was in a situation where I did do some manual roof modifications and ran into this problem? Sorry to asked so many questions, I just really want to learn CA and apply it to all my projects.

Thank you

Don't know why the roof did what it did. The roof will only change when manually rebuilt, or Auto Rebuild is on.

Then turn off.

Always suggest people learn and use the auto roof builder, especially to start.
