Rake wall Issue. and Measureing

Recommended Posts

so many issues... :)

The walls as in the pic, Lots of issues I can't seem to straighten out, There is a small additional wall added to the outside, The siding runs inside instead of drywall, I can't also make it meet in the middle... so I don't have holes.

I would also love to maximize the hole size, not sure best way of doing it.

Is there a way to do this properly that I am missing.

Also, trying to measure from the bottom of the structure of the 1st floor (16" total) to the roof cap, I am having issues doing this for some reason, is there an easy way as I need to keep it all under 19 feet.

Oy.  Thanks

Can you make these roof planes the same pitch?

This may clean up a few things.

The roof will also mostly auto build cleanly.

Here is a tip. When drawing or placing objects that are symmetrical about a center, draw one side, the copy/reflect about the center to get the other side.

Before.

Fix the far right window, delete the 2 on the left, then copy/reflect them across.

Suggest reading/reviewing videos on auto build roofs for the specifics.

You can set pitch in the wall that overrides the default pitch, and you will need to set walls a Full Gable as needed.

Here is the plan. I deleted the 2nd floor internal walls just to make it easy to lower the ceiling so the ridge heights would match. You could do the same by changing the 2nd floor defaults, then using the Reset to Defaults dialog I showed above, or changing each room.
