RL-inc
There is a lot to be determined here.... What are the room layouts adjacent to the opening? What floors and ceilings. Posting a plan can help others help you. And filling out a signature will as well
boxerprod
Hi RL-Inc , thank you for your help. I have attached the plan for the 1st Floor and 2nd. On the 2nd floor : On the left , there will be 1 room and 1 bathroom. On the right : 1 dressing and 1 room The ceiling on the 2nd floor will have a "cathedral ceiling" , i'm not sure how to say it in english ( i have attached an example ). The finish will be made with gypsum board. Last detail , the roof will be "asymetric" . If you have any suggestions REZ DE CHAUSSÉE 1 _50.pdf PLAN ETAGE 1_50.pdf
RL-inc
It appears that you have a 2 story clear area in the front center of the home- defined by the railing on the upper floor. Select the "room" in this area and define as open below. Then set the ceiling in this "room" to match the absolute ceiling height of the 2nd floor. Then uncheck ceiling above this room to create the vault.
