David, one more thing. I was successful in pulling that middle gable back from the file you sent to me. But I could not pick up from your video how that wall below that gable generated. When I pulled that middle gable back everything worked but that wall didn't generate, how did you generate that wall.

Here's that PDF of the options I think work the best for the facade. I think the option you so graciously walked through has too small an entry to work effectively.

This PDF has two options, two views of each option. I know which one I'm leaning to, I would value your opinion if you could offer.

David, I loaded the plan, so what I think I'll do is what I said earlier and move that middle section back , which would create valleys on either side. So I will try to move that roof plane back further, like in that jpg. Thanks again

Thanks so much, that's pretty close to what I was looking for. I think I might move that center gable further up the rake of the roof. 

That little building out back is a shed roof pool equipment shed. I haven't fixed that, but that is not part of the remodel, but yes that was funky.

I have several versions for the facade of this plan and I am just going through all options. Can I post those here and get your input?

I'm having trouble drawing the roof attached in the jpg file. I tried the dormer tools, but it won't place it.

I want to have the two gables at the front of the house, with a gable roof that sets back from the entry as in the jpg. 

Any suggestions to get that roof the work?

We don't build garage walls like that either, it's the first time I've seen one that didn't have a stem wall that comes up at least 6". It seems when I do set the stem wall to 4" it messes up the height of the floor according to the terrain and separate house. Not a big deal, I'm the kind of guy who always wants to know why something does or doesn't work.

Now I wonder if I can set my garage slab to have no stem wall. Not super important, because it is existing, but the garage was built the mud sill sitting in the slab , no stem wall above the slab. I've looked for CA video on establishing a garage slab, but it seems CA requires at least a 4" stem wall.

Or should I post another topic on this?

Sorry about that, forgot to hit attach file, here they are.

I have a floor plan with a detached garage that is 22" below the Main floor plan , 1-story. When I build the foundation, it seems to show the garage slab 26" above the floor. 

I know I'm missing something simple, the garage is an existing garage and the framing sits right on slab.

So I don't be able set the foundation in that manner.

Any suggestions?

Thanks guys, but I can't even find the Chief Architect font. It is available within Chief (Mac Version) but not on my Windows side of the Mac running Parallels. And it doesn't show up in Font Book either. 

I like the Chief Blueprint font in Chief Architect and was wondering if there is a way to export it from CA so it is available in MS Office on a Mac?
