Is there a way to make the reference floor display and print in layout? Preferably as dashed lines.
when I send the plan view that shows the reference floor to layout it disappears.
I am trying to show a basement level and the walls above so the architect will know where to add walls in the basement.

Yes I did check winders and they still have segmented sides and handrail. Have also made sure it is tight to the wall

Javatom, yea am aware of cost, we are probably going to do it in steel and segmented with flat glass. Probably still expensive.

Wow, worked great. I scoured that DBX for a reference to curved can't believe I missed that.
Thanks

I have a curved stair tower and want to put a curved window in it, is there a way to curve a window in plan view?
Not talking about arched tops
Also is there a way to make the stairs curved to the wall and not have flat side segmented?

ok thanks, will try this.

When I use line drawing rendering it wants to keep rerendering. Is there a way to tell it not to do that?

I looked at it closer and realized i have multiple eave levels on this piece of roof and that this mystery boxed eave was in the same position as another eave. I went back and made this piece of the roof plane its own piece and it went away.
I had tried closing the program and reopening and it was still there.
thanks for the comments.

Every now and then when doing boxed eaves I end up with an extra piece of boxed eave in the wrong place.
Attached is an image of the problem and the plan.
Suggestions?

I am missing a small piece of ceiling above the glass shower wall, I have pulled this wall down so there is an air gap, but even when the glass wall meets the ceiling I end up with a piece of unfinished ceiling the thickness of a 4" wall.
What gives, can I fix this other than adding a polyline solid to cover up the missing ceiling???
THANKS

Must not have said the right curse words, that didn't work.
However i selected the top wall and pulled its bottom up to the upper line and that made both lines disapear.

How can I create floor truss that looks like the attached. I have tried modifying the standard and I get what I want, but when I copy and paste it reverts to the standard profile. I am mainly interested in having a truss with the top cord to sit on the plate vs. the whole truce sitting on a plate.
Thanks in advance for all your great help.

Eric, thats what I did to get the pattern vertical to begin with. However when I apply it it will some times be vertical and some times not. and then if I color it it will sometimes switch directions.

See attached image. I am trying to apply a siding or rustic wood material to the vaulted ceiling. Would like it to run parallel with the rafters, however it pieces itself some parallel and some the other direction. Have this issue on two projects. Any suggestions on how to force the siding to run vertical? I have changed its angle in the texture dialog box.

Custom cabinet door rails
in General Q & A
Posted
I am trying to create a relatively simple cabinet door with a flush center panel. I created 2" wide rails with a 3/4" reveal. I made the symbol and sent to library with no problem. However when I apply it to a cabinet the door is rescaled and the rails become 4" with a 1" reveal. How do I keep the rails consistent the way cabinet door typically work???
