I have been using Chief for many years, but I'm feeling pretty stupid right now. Why won't the shingles that are one of the materials on my roofs show up in the material list? The ridge cap and gutters are listed in linear length. But the actual roofing material is not calculated. My husband is a home builder, and I thought the roofing was listed in the materials list in previous versions of Chief. I'm sure there is a simple answer, but I have spent hours searching "help" and ChiefTalk, and still haven't found the solution. Thanks, Pam

Thanks so much for the response. I use the Decorator Bonus Catalog for all of my plans. I have used the Specialty MEP Catalog a few times. Neither of them address the 2021 IECC requirements. After I posted this, I did find a three way sliding dimmer switch in the Core Electrical. It doesn't have the same 3D look as the Decorator group, but it will work in plan view. I searched the forums, and couldn't find much regarding the IECCs. I apologize if I missed something. Our city has adopted the 2021 IECC. I'm hoping the great people at Chief are working on a library for the IECC. For now I am using notes and schedules to indicate the 3 way dimmers as well as the auto off exterior lights, and any other required electrical I can't find in the library. It would be so nice to be able to just choose them from the library. Even if we don't get an IECC library, I love this software!

I am having the same issue. I can work for several hours, and find that auto save has not been working. I tend to save my file myself on a regular basis, but sometimes I have needed to rely on auto save only to find it hasn't saved anything.

I am also not happy with the look of the toolbar in X7. The color scheme makes everything look the same. I much prefer the way things looked in X6.
