  1. I learned priceless knowledge by shadowing a builder. I'm not talking about the owner of the company who sits in an office and makes site visits. I'm talking about the owner of the company that builds the house along with his sons and subs with his bare hands. The framing knowledge alone was a great experience! Just my 2 cents  ;)

  2. Thank you both for taking the time to answer my question. I create all my labels manually. I watched a video on Macros and thought I'd give it a try. It doesn't bother me to create the labels manually because I've been doing it for years. I figured it could save me a step. Lol Thanks again!

  3. I've never used the macros before and thought I'd give it a try. I went to the "Text" tool and clicked on "Rich Text" after the specification box opened, I typed in "Study" and then inserted a macro under that by clicking "macro>global>room info>room dimension" it gives me the dimensions from drywall to drywall. Not stud to stud which is how I normally do it. Is there a way to have is give me the dimensions from stud to stud rather than drywall to drywall?

  4. Holy sh*t dude, what kind of computer equipment are you buying? Lol. $2,600.00 for Computer $300.00 For a good small printer. $50.00 for a mouse $250.00 for comfortable computer chair, and $2,695.00 For Chief. You're looking around 6g. Like Scott said. I mean later on in my business I ordered business cards ($50.00) and an Ipad Pro to show plans to clients in 3D don't remember the cost on that. above 1g.

  5. All I like in finishing revising this prelim. is 2 issues. I would appreciate any help.

1,  I need a catheral ceilng and gable all the way thru Front porch Entry, grand hall, and rear verand. When I break wall at front of porch. hit on it to make gable. I get wierd effect on left and cannot solve the issues.

I know that some people may get into a tizzy over this, but why can't you just manually draw your roof? Chief can't read my mind. I find that even though the "automatic" features are/can be useful, a lot of the times they don't produce the results I need/want. I never use automatic roof, or foundations. Are you proficient enough to use the roof tools without chief's automatic roof tools? I would highly suggest doing that, then use the ceiling plane tools to get your vault.

  6. I tried this 3D viewer out on my iPad Mini 2, which is listed in the app store as a compatible device. When starting the app, I get a message: "Notice. This device does not meet 3D Viewer's minimum memory requirements. We recommend running the app on a newer device."   Oh, okay, then I'll rush out right now and get a new tablet just so I can run your app. Please figure out which devices actually work, and skip the message. (The app ran just fine, BTW.) I find this to be is an incredibly obnoxious warning message, and one I would not want a client to see.

Richard, I have an Iphone 6 Plus 128 GB and get the same error message...
