  1. Color is Bright White Sheer--PAINTED: 2111-50 stone harbor. I also picked another few colors at random and observed the same issue. Plan link:https://app.box.com/s/z4a87d027799c6xwu9da032gl7to316d
  2. I'm trying to figure out why cabinets that are painted with Benjamin Moore colors all of a sudden become semi-transparent. This doesn't seem to happen with the "stock" colors included in Chief.
  3. Thanks. I've never submitted a bug report before. Is there a thread for that in here?
  4. No, but something still doesn't look quite right there either.
  5. Square base corner cabinets in X9 have a bug. They are all being installed with a toe kick on the side of the cabinet. Selecting "closed toe" in options doesn't fix the issue. Am I doing something wrong here or do others have this problem as well?
  6. So the temporary dimensions of X7 shows the width of the casing, the door/window, then the casing once again. I really liked the old way where the casing to casing dimension was the only one. For me, the rest is not needed. Is that functionality now gone, or is it just turned off? I'd like it back. Thanks
  7. There used to be a setting (and probably still is) that would allow me to show an S and an E that noted the Start and End of a wall or line. I can't find it any longer. Who knows where this is? Thanks!
  8. Is there any way to have Chief correctly place these vertical pulls an equal distance from the edge of each door? Or is this something that is going to have to go into the suggestions bin?
  9. Perhaps I don't have something configured correctly, but I am not able to snap to any cabinets, door or window trims, or countertops when viewing an elevation. That isn't normal is it? Edit: Perhaps more accurately I should state that I can drag a manual dimension across an item like a window and it will give me an accurate measurement, but I'm more specifically talking about trying to place point markers in elevation. I'm not able to have them snap to a corner of window trim for example.
  10. I do have X6, but I'm a little confused after looking at the hotkeys. With nothing selected in camera view, the arrow keys do what they are supposed to (what they always have) and that is rotate the camera with the left and right arrow keys, and move the camera forward and back with the up and down arrows. I do not have any hotkeys set in the nudge section. So why do the arrow keys nudge something that is selected in 3D views?
  11. I guess this "feature" might be new, since I don't remember having this problem with past versions. I really don't like the fact that the arrow keys move selected items when I'm in a camera view. Is there any way to remove that feature and let the arrow keys control the camera at all times when in that view? It's causing me all kinds of headaches. Thanks
  12. Two good suggestions. Stacking and the door/drawer trick. Thanks.
  13. I'm looking for the best way to organize the texture files that I've created in Photoshop and want to add into my User Library. When creating a new material in your library, you're asked to located the texture file. I've placed it on my Desktop for easy location, but if after that .jpg has been imported into Chief and later the original .jpg file is moved, it breaks the link within Chief and it will no longer render. So, where should these texture files be placed so they always move with Chief? And for those who may want the texture, it's attached. It's Carrara White Marble 36x36, 9 tiles.
  14. Is there any way to fix the handle placement on tall (full height) cabinets. There needs to be a setting for "down from top" and "up from bottom". Or I'm just doing something wrong here. Please see attached.
  15. Is there still no option in the new version to automatically save the final rendered images to a directory? Automatic as in not having to edit the save location with a unique file name for each camera render. I've been asking for this for what seems like forever. It could be so simple to come up with a naming structure like: Camera name-date-time.jpg. They all would go into the default directory you want them saved in.
  16. You know how Chief only lets you light one room for your camera and renderings? I'm wondering if that same function limitation holds true when using invisible walls to connect an island for instance or if I've separated a room with a higher ceiling height from another in the same room with the new room divider tool?
  17. X6. Thanks, I'll take a look at that.
  18. Ok. Well off to the suggestion box I go.
  19. Has the slow dragging feature been changed or eliminated in X6? Used to be able to hit the shift key when dragging to slow things down.
  20. Is there any way to enable snapping say a wall cabinet that you are dragging to the edge of the countertop, not just the cabinet side?
  21. Is there any way to make the backsplash "aware" of a window or in this case a pass-through? Setting the backsplash height to 18" places backsplash where it shouldn't be. See attached.
  22. My defaults are correct. I do want my dimensions to include the trim, but just not for that opening and I could find no way to put the exterior casing to 0. The tip above for separate interior and exterior casing allowed me to untick enter 0 for the exterior casing. Thanks to all.
  23. So I just updated to the newest release of X6 and have a very strange issue with a polyline solid. Open the attached plan. Create a second view, like an elevation or a camera view. Now in plan view, drag to resize the polyline solid and watch what happens in the elevation (assuming you experience the same things I am). The dragging and resizing of the polyline solid is very erratic and does not in any way represent what is actually taking place in elevation view. The elevation view and plan view are not in sync.
