I don't want to spend anymore than I have to.
That is not a budget.
For instance, I am replacing laptop hardware this year, and I have a firm budget of $5K for total hardware costs. I then get the best specs available on the day I order within that $5K budget.
So Terry, what's your budget?

Chris, yes, I do almost everything on a laptop now--almost. So, the more umph I can muster, without burning down the house, the better.

Call tech support

You too had been hijacked.
Huh?

I'm on month 54 of a 36-month tech lifecycle with an Asus G74SX. It is getting replaced with the Dec 3rd release of the Asus G752VY-DH78K.

I thought it was only zetta3 in the "kit~&" variant?

Use the soffit tool. There's video somewhere.

My mistake. You need to create short foundation wall segments (about three panels on a steep grade) separate from the fence, then break and drag the new foundation walls.

If I remember, I did "break~n~drag" in elevation view. It's been a couple or three years, but I will try to find the plan and post it later, as I'm landscaping--again.

Have you tried breaks in your fence/wall?

Having a checkbox to "Skirt Terrain in View" in elevations/cross-sections, would be very handy. Otherwise, just blacking out foundations is very easily accomplished.

They're trying to lure me out into the open with the promise of professional networking and cheap drinks--fat chance.
Seriously though, professional networking is not a bad thing.

Thanks. Yes, I did all that, but still cannot find my models after I imported them, even if I zoom out like crazy. Where/how to find the imported items on the plan?
click in floor plan view to place the symbol

I believe the default toolbar configuration places the menu on the bottom of the User Interface.

Try a glass wall, then use either polyline solids or Wall Material Regions to create the "frames". To match your roofline frame, I would use a 3D Molding Polyline drawn in elevation and converted to an arc.

Use a combination of circle about center CAD lines, then transform those lines to:
- hole in floor,
- hole in terrain,
- a descending array of molding polylines with user defined height & width,
- a slab bottom.
See attached. Be aware; there are overlapping CAD lines.

Start on page 1147 of the Reference Manual (Not the User's Guide). Pay attention to the paragraph about placing a symbol after import.
"-Click OK to import the symbol, then click in floor plan view to place the symbol at that location. Continue clicking to place as many copies of the symbol as needed. Select another tool when finished."
Hope that helps,

Ed, have you performed a hard reboot (power down, unplug, remove battery (if any), push power button 4 or five times (or wait five minutes)) since installing the CA update? I've found that when I get operational anomalies after a software install/update, that about 80% of the time, a hard reboot will fix what's ailing the box.

jtcapa,
Layers are incredibly important if you do any detailed landscaping. I've used as many as 20 unique plant layers (and fixtures, rocks, riprap, etc., etc.) that get switched on and off depending on the poly "cost" and relevance to the property area being worked. The only time everything gets turned on is after I've positioned 3D cameras and I'm ready to ray trace.

Did you block the lines?
