  1. Scott, I'm not using temp dimensions to move items. Don't know if that makes a difference. And I can move many things, then all of the sudden, it throws an error. Tim
  2. Guess I gotta click "Add to Post" It would help! 1438-Habitat-3B-v1.plan.zip
  3. Thanks Scott. I meant to state what I was doing when the error occurred. Open the attached file and you'll find a bathroom directly in front of you. I was trying to move the sink to 40.5" from the toilet centerline. Tim
  4. Scott, Here's one plan that has cause me problems. I've had this happen in at least 4 plans between yesterday and today. Could be that they all do this because I'm starting from the same template, I guess. Tim
  5. I revise my previous statement. Here's the error message that allows me to click OK and keep going. "A serious error occurred (SEH). Please contact Chief Architect Technical Support with steps to reproduce."
  6. Anyone else having the issue where the mac version is stopping when trying to move an item by clicking on it's dimension? I've had Chief stop (had to Force Quit or it crashes) probably 2 dozen times yesterday and already 1 dozen this morning. I know it's about to happen because when I move an item (usually a wall) by selecting the wall and clicking on a related dimension I get the message that Chief has experienced a serious SSH error. I click OK, and then I can go about what I was planning to do in the first place. Then a couple of moments later, I try the same thing again with another object, and then Chief just stops and I have to Force Quit. This is happening on multiple files. Running a new iMac 3.5 GHz Intel Core i7 with 16GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M vid card with 4GB vid RAM.
  7. Have just had a project in which I'm doing the 3D framing in X6 for the first time, and noticed a few things that have changed and thinking I'd like it back to the way it used to be.... When I double-click the Joist tool, the Build Framing dbx comes up, but no matter what floor I'm viewing, this dbx shows up with the Foundation options appearing. It used to be that opening the dbx on 2nd floor would automatically appear on the 2nd floor options for building framing. Also, when I open the Build Framing dbx (double click the Joist tool) and do some auto framing, (having previously drawn some bearing lines or joist direction lines), the General Framing icon (just to the left of the Joist tool) changes to the Build Framing icon, and I can't go back to the Bearing Lines or Joist Direction Lines without clicking the small arrow, and another icon, etc. Thanks.
  8. Awesome, Doug! Thanks. I hadn't looked at that yet in X6.
  9. I'm brainstorming an idea to offer 3D printing of our 3D models. But the program to print in 3D needs STL files. Anyone out there done something like this before? Thanks, Tim
  10. I can also help with teaching Chief Architect. I'm in Lebanon, but I typically teach via online, so that you nor I are spending time travelling. Tim Schrock 765-482-6371 www.designbuildsolutionsllc.com
