  5. Will do this once I get a chance. I had specified that the room shouldn’t have a ceiling but it did that instead. I don’t know why.
  6. Sorry it 's taking me awhile to reply back, I'm at work.
  7. Wanting to do this on a wrap around porch. But don’t know how to get the rafters to be seen.I turned the ceiling off and just shows plywood on the underside.

  9. What the measurement of the frame building would be. Just what 2x4 wall to 2x4 wall would be and not sheet rock to sheet rock or siding into first wall inside.
  10. Just wondering how would I get only the measurements of the building and not tyvek paper, sheet rock, plywood, etc?
  11. Does anyone else have problems with the layout side of the blueprints? It seems like every time I make a set of blueprints, print them then come back to them like a month later my main page is gone front, back, side elevation, electrical and foundation are also gone. The only thing that stays is floor plan it’s self and when I go to the main page and click on foundation or electrical it just gives me the floor plan all over again.
  12. thank you everyone for the help. I was able to get the plan working.
  13. Also, how am I supposed to start using chief again? it keeps telling me that; The file "C:\Users\josafat\Desktop\Brent Summers.plan" appears to be locked. This could be the result of another user or program using the file. This may also result from having insufficient security privileges to access this file.
  14. Thank you HumbleChief. I have been busy with work, so it took me awhile to comment back. But I will try this and hopefully it works.
  15. Sorry for the miscommunication but it’s not pillars it Precast Concrete Pier Footing. Like what’s in the picture below.
  16. Also for some reason it deleted my main houses floor?
  17. I am having difficulty with a project i am working with. I’m doing a remodeling job that the house is on pillar and the addition to the front on the owner wants to put it on slab. The house it self is on 2’ pillars, plus the house has 8’ walls. When I try to come off the exiting top plate of the house and build the addition with 9’ walls, in which the new room will be below 1’ of the pillars the program automatically changes the house to 9’ wall and everything stays even how do I get it to not change my existing walls?
  18. Hopefully this one works. Please let me know if not. All the back portion of the house is on pillars, this includes the "existing house" and the back right portion of the house consisting of the "master bath" and master closet". These are the only 2 existing structures currently on the property. We're planning to combine the 2 existing structures with an addition of the "master bedroom", "office", and another room labeled "master bedroom", which will also be on pillars because the owner wants it all leveled. The front addition to the house consisting of the wrap around porch, "family room", "Half bath", and a walk way will be on cement, NOT pillars. The celling height in the existing house (which is on pillars) will extend out to the addition (which will not be on pillars), so we have to have 9ft walls in the addition and 8ft walls in the existing portion. 1 Brent Summers.plan
  19. Its an addition. To the existing home, I'm adding on to the back of the house a Master closet, Master bath, Master bedroom, and an office and a small room next to the office. When looking at the blue prints zip file you'll see "existing home". In the front of the house I'm adding a wrap around porch, a family room, and half bath. I don't have pictures of the existing house because I drew the prints based off notes taken down from the owner. I have CAx6 just incase you weren't able to see it on my signature. I've had the program for a couple of years, but haven't had to use it much to this detail.
