We’re a residential design-build firm in the East Bay looking for an experienced Chief Architect draftsperson to work with us on an ongoing basis. You’d be working with our design team of three designers, so we’re looking for someone who is responsive, organized and comfortable coordinating with multiple people and projects. Ideally, we’re looking for someone local to Northern California who can: • Visit homes and field measure existing conditions • Create accurate as-built plans in Chief Architect (CA 17) • Provide .dwg files when needed • Understand residential remodeling and existing construction • Work comfortably from field measurements, photos and existing documentation We worked with Al Frey for many years until he retired and would love to find another experienced Chief user who can fill a similar role for us. Most of our work is residential remodeling throughout the East Bay, including kitchens, bathrooms, additions and larger whole-home projects. Familiarity with California residential codes, permitting requirements and local construction practices is important to us, which is why we’d prefer someone based in Northern California.
