I ended up going with the LG 34um95 and all I can is, it's just a pleasure....amazing real estate, crisp clear images...it truly does wonders. If anybody is thinking of updating their screen, I would say it's worth the money.

The 2 extra cores I know will make a diff, atm I have a quad core alienware and it has been doing it's job farely well, with 6 cores I can imagine it'll do what I need without having 8 cores. As for the monitor, for me it's not as much about the size, I won't go under 27 if single, but preferably 32. I'm looking more for advice when it comes to color accuracy, response time, etc. Maybe I'm mistaken and maybe response time is only important when it comes to gaming. I just want very good colors to come out, and while the samung 4k monitor delivers over a billionr colors and seems to receive good reviews, I'm wondering do I need the 4k, or will WQHD do the trick, and if so which monitors do users recommend.

Hey Jon thanks for the reply. Well the 4k samsung I was offered cosys just under 500$ 28 inch. I just love techy stuff so 4k had its how should we say temptations. Except CA the other purposes are as everybody else's movies surfing lil gaming and we'll some android coding (developing an android app). I guess at the end of the day 4k won't really give me more in terms of CA. Might even prolong rendering. While at 2560x1440 it'll be good enough. color accuracy is definitely important. That's why I was recommended the BenQ 3200 because supposedly it was designed for prolonged cad work etc. The samsung you linked I saw online and considered it too. might even go for it if nothing else comes up. As for 5960x vs overlcocked 5930. I know it had 2 extra cored though not sure if I need that difference?

Because honestly I'm lost I love new tech like 4k but I want something that will serve the purposes for chief work well and be with me for some time and does not look like crap. One guy also told me HP Envy 32 ..

For example one offer I have is the samsung 4k monitor u 25 90 BenQ bl3200pt I know one is 4k the other is 2560. My issue is on one hand 4k would be fun but sadly it does not turn 90 degrees. And heard it is good but isn't. What do you think guys 4k budget or 2560 qhd monitor? I would be forever grateful for some advice if anybody owns these or other monitors that they use? I decided that dual monitor might not be for me. Yet I'm open to advicseeing as one offer I had was dual dell's at 100 with the thinnest bezel. Let me know what you all think.

anybody have an idea of how to make a cabinet curve fully? meaning if I have a curved wall, and i want the cabinets back to curve with the wall, is that possible?

oh I have considered going for a two way SLI 980 gtx...not sure though if I should or if it would be worth it.

wanted to ask, on cpu benchmark, when comparing 3 processors, the amd fx 8350 8 core comes not as high in rating but is valued well, meaning it has 8 cores, and it goes up to 4.2... how about this the amd fx 8350 Amd 970 chipset NVIDIA GeForce GTX TITAN BLACK 6144mb Thermaltake Urban R21 and 32gb ddr3 at 1600mhz? it seems a lil weak on the ddr3 versus ddr3, the card is good, while the processor is rated lower...it comes with 120gb ssd and 3tb...any thoughts? AMD FX-8350 Eight-Core

4k looks very nice, if I had the space I'd consider it, but for now I won't be switching offices so I think I'll have to stick to two 23inch Asus screens at 1920*1080p. I think they'll do the trick. Doug Park: Thank you for the information, something i'll consider when developing a project.

Drawzilla, I did turn it off and still when I do a full camera view or full perspective opt goes off. If i turn on hardware edge smoothing and use floor camera view, the opt on stays on and doesn't give any error. Makes me wonder, is it possible that my graphics card can't handle the full overview?

Visualdandd: Space wise I'm thinking it might take up a little too much space. My working space has a 22inch sitting for the security feed, and a 25inch and another might take too much space. that's why I'm considering two Asus 23's, ASUS VX239Hor two Samsung S22D390Q Ibuttery: Yeah I don't know what went wrong with win7 pro, but as said I dont' think about it anymore, got very accustomed to win 8 and love it so far. As said only issue remains on my laptop that the optimizations on for some reason turns off sometimes, but once I get the desktop, that problem will be gone, and the alienware will be left for 2d work. Overall I'm thinking 16gb ddr4 will be enough, but I am considering potentially having them upgrade it to 32gb. As for whether gtx 970 with 4gb or 980, I don't think will make a big difference which one I have them put in. Again thanks for the feedback guys.

Hey Everybody! I'm new to the forum, and looking for some help.. I'm also new to CA..about 4 months...I used to create designs by hand, was taught by a famous architect from NY who still works today only by hand...I decided to switch to computer design...So far my learning with CA has been quite good, getting the results I more or less need. Currently I'm running an Alienware M17xR3 with win 8.1 (it's a win7 pro laptop but I decided to upgrade.) specs are as follows: i7-2760qm 2.4Ghz 16gb of DDR3 ram. HD Radeon 6990 2gb 1.5TB Sata. Full Hd screen. Sorry don't remember by heart the rest of the specs. So this laptop does a good job, though I encounter issues sometimes, not sure if it's because of the laptop or the settings. The most common issue I find is when generating 3d views, the optimizations on feature turns off....and regardless how many times I close the view and turn it back on, it screws up again...Maybe because I run it on win 8.1, and the laptop ultimately should work on win7 pro, than again what happened was when installing on win7, CA never loaded, always said folders were missing, while in 8.1 they installed right. So I decided for full-time work I want to put together a desktop, the ultimate machine that will do it right and fast. My budget is $4,000 for it, including screen(s). The laptop I'll keep for home use of CA, meaning after work tweaks n so on. I would highly appreciate any and all help! Thanks in advance!
