  1. Ok, finally got it uploaded right. I forgot that it pulls all the plans from a folder in my PC so nobody else would be able to check it out. My apologies. I did make sure that auto framing was off. I did click on the framing in the cross section and change it but wasn't sure if my materials list would still be affected. Pretty sure I tried going through the room dbx's as well. Will check that again.
  2. Good evening! I am working on a plan for a client and have ran into a problem. My joists seem to want to show up as I-Joists for some reason. I tried rebuilding the floor framing with it set as lumber, I added joist direction lines, I tried deleting all floor framing with the "Delete Objects" box and rebuilding. No matter what I do, the framing just keeps showing up as I-Joists. When I click between the joists in an elevation, it opens a framing box for a lumber joist. This makes me think it has joists running both ways but in the floor plan mode, I turned on the joist layer and it only shows the I-Joists... Anyway, never had this problem before and Google turned up nothing so hopefully someone has some insight as to what may have caused this! Thanks in advance for any help. Plans attached! 3. Oh.. I suppose that would be the look lol Wonder how that happened... Thank you!
  4. Apparently, My elevations are showing the green dashed line around my roof planes. I was palying with the layer settings and can't make that go away either. :s
  5. Good evening all! I was working on a RV storage garage for someone today and have came across a problem that I have not been able to figure out as of yet. These 2 lines seemed to have appeared on the joists in the cross section view. They were not there earlier and now I can't get rid of them. Anyone have any ideas? Oshawa Garage.plan
  6. I just figured out how to do some wall modifications this morning on an addition design that I am doing. If they are attached, you can go to your elevation view, click on the wall then click the tab button to highlight the wall only (the first click highlights the room that the wall encloses). Then you can use the Break Line tool to break the wall and change the height to what you need. Aside from that, I think you could highlight the room and in the properties under "Structure" you could set your ceiling heights. I did mine the other way as I needed the foundation of the addition higher than the existing home but needed the footings at the same level. Changing the height of the basement always brought the footing up. Hope that helps you out a bit!
  7. Thank you very much Gawdzira! That fixed all of my problems!
  8. I modified it in plan view and tried in elevation view. It did not seem to fix the problem. Attached a copy of the plan file. MooreCraft.plan
  9. Good day all! I am in the final stages of a set of plans I have been working on before I start all my noting, labeling and measurements. On my elevation I seem to have some issues that I have not been able to work around as of yet. Still somewhat in the learning curve of CA so hoping someone can help out. On my front elevation, the stonework goes under the door. It was not doing this when the floor in the garage was set to be supplied by the foundation room below. For the sake of aesthetics, I could leave it set as that but was curious if there was a way around this just to have it done "properly". The door stays up the 4" for the floor so the wall continues under it. Also on the front elevation and rear elevation, you can see the break in the siding where the wall meets the base of the gable wall. I have tried setting these walls to "Balloon Through Ceiling" to connect the attic walls with the main floor walls but that has not worked. On the rear elevation you can also see a line where the railing is that I assume is an invisible wall showing up for the railing? On the right and front elevation you can see that there is a notch out of the foundation wall at the footing. It seems like the footing is causing this but when I move the footings or walls around it just makes a mess. I included a 3D shot of the notch as well. On the right elevation, there is a bit of wall missing where the garage wall meets the house wall. There is a perpendicular wall in there separating the house from the garage. Being inside, it is set to a Frame 5 1/2 wall rather than a Siding-6 wall. That little spot I am not overly worried about but would love to know if there is a quick fix to eliminate that. I think that covers all of my problems for now. If anyone has ideas, it would be much appreciated!
  10. Actually that would have been a good fix for it. I just noticed I did not move the deck out to be flush with the side wall so that seemed to allow the stone to go all the way. I think decks usually generate invisible walls. For some reason, maybe this was holding the wall covering back?
  11. Earlier today I decided to make some wall length changes when going over some of my exterior measurements. Since then I have noticed that one corner shows a small slice of siding that is underneath. I have played with a few options but have not been able to figure out how to get my stone wall covering over to the edge. The side walls have clay siding but the siding that is showing is blue as I am using the Siding-6 wall. I attached a photo of what is going on. I was using the Frame 5 1/2 wall but then the wall covering doesn't cover the rim joist area. I found a way around that problem by setting the wall to extend through the floor platform but I try to do things properly to keep accurate materials list.
