  1. I am using x17 and went to download some cad details and the program says I must have a chief architect subscription, which I do. So after doing some digging it appears I am supposed to have my product keys in my digital locker, which I don't. my locker is empty. But I have an account and tried signing out and back in, no change. Anyone know where I can find the product keys?
  2. I figured it out. Building the manual roof plane but what I was doing wrong was setting the ridge height to the plate height. I needed to set the baseline to the wall plate height. Thanks
  3. Sorry, I think we are talking about two different things. I think the technical term is a door hood. Just a small shingled roof that extends from the flat wall on the first floor over the doors. Just something to be out of the rain while they enter the house. It doesn't require a foundation. If I draw walls and make them invisible it alters the foundation And creates a floor above it.
  4. I've watched all the roof videos and can't seem to find a way to do this. I want to create a small roof over the two front doors on the first floor of the structure. When create a roof line it defaults to the second floor. If I change the ridge height to the plate height of the first floor, it drags the second floor wall material down. Area I want the roof is highlighted in red. Can someone tell me the method. Thanks
  5. Thank you, I figured it out. Although not sure it was the "right" way. Its gone and everything looks ok
  6. Hello, first post here. Brand new to CA. Using premier x17. I've designed a small house, and I have everything the way the engineer has specified and all call outs and notes. The only thing (that I can see anyway) that is wrong is this bump out on the porch/exterior wall junction. The engineer has specified to the porch be 2-3" wider than the porch posts that support the beams. This is so a wet set bolt be installed on the corner and a simpson ABU66 can be used. I achieved that by offsetting the footing on the open railing walls. Now I am left with this that I am trying to get rid of. If I go to the foundation layer and move it, the entire footing moves with it and it goes flush with the post again. Thanks
