Cove Cabinet Molding Component - How to Price Accurately?
DefinedDesign replied to DefinedDesign's topic in General Q & A
Thanks for that bit of information. My apologies for not communicating clearly about the incorrect total needing to be fixed. I incorrectly thought by changing the feet to lineal feet it would correct the inaccurate total. -
Thanks for the macro, could not get this to work. I went ahead and sent to the HVAC trade and told him the room volume was not accurate.
-
My volume was not calculating correctly and I was advised to change to "interior dimensions" in your schedule, instead of "standard dimensions", as they thought the "volume" calculation uses interior numbers.
-
Curious if 'Interior dimensions' is available in X12? I can only find area, interior (sq ft) which returns no value Do you know the macro for 'Interior Dimensions' so I can enter it manually. I tried using %room.area.interior% but it doesn't return any value.
-
Created a Note and then >Note Specification >Object Information >Custom Object Fields >Custom Field: Volume >Field Value: %room.volume% CAD >Text >Text Macro Management RoomVolume - (internal_area * (ceiling_elevation - floor_elevation) ).to_cu_ft Copied the RoomVolume per the KB article and created this: roomVolumeRounded: vol = internal_area * (ceiling_elevation - floor_elevation) vol.round(2) Went back to Note Specification and added Room Volume Rounded with a field value: %roomVolumeRounded% Gives me an #Evaluation Error#
-
I found this CA KB-01897 article but I can't get it to work...
-
Thank you! Now to figure out why the volume isn't calculating correctly??? Is there anyway to get the volume to round up? I'm clueless.
-
Yes! Nothing better than established, consistent standard inputs, and clarity to reduce confusion. I liked your request, thanks for suggesting it.
-
Yes I am
-
Thank you, I created the Note and it doesn't seem to be linking to my custom schedule, the note doesn't show a number and their is no field for the Volume in the schedule.
-
Thanks, is a custom schedule the same as note schedule?
-
This is my callout, where do I find the custom field to add the Volume for the schedule?
-
Do you mean the Callout I created? If no, I'm sorry I don't understand what a Note spec is.
-
Again I apologize, I'm not comprehending. In the schedule dialog box I can create a Custom Category but where I don't see Volume is under columns even if I uncheck the box next to limit to included categories.
-
My apologies, I'm not understanding. How do I make a custom note schedule?
-
Using X12 Looking to get the %room.volume% in a custom Room Schedule. My callouts for this Room Schedule have this macro: %room.schedule_number%. The room label defaults are this: %room.dimensions% Finished Ceiling Height: %room.height.ceilingfinish% Room Area: %room.area.standard% Room Volume: %room.volume% How do I get the %room.volume% from the label default in this new custom schedule? The Schedule Specification Columns does not provide a Room Volume option.

X12 Problem with Elevation Manual Dimension to Studs Surface
DefinedDesign replied to DefinedDesign's topic in General Q & A
I apologize, I should have paid more attention, in my haste I attached the wrong image. The one below is the one I should have sent. We made the decision to go with the SSA before the end of last year, haven't recouped our investment yet, once we do we plan on upgrading this old laptop that only works with X12. Appreciate all your insight! -
X12 Problem with Elevation Manual Dimension to Studs Surface
DefinedDesign replied to DefinedDesign's topic in General Q & A
Wow this is wonderful thanks for sharing, sadly I don't think it is available in X12, unless it's in a different location. Some day I'll get a new laptop and I'll be able to update to the latest and greatest version of CA. -
