  1. I usually do a 3ds but on this plan it has never worked correctly, I have used the 3d dwg model export and it has worked fine up until this week. I'm going to try and copy the plan into a clean chief file and try it again to see if the file is corrupt
  2. sorry, not sure where to change it but I'm in premier x16
  3. I'm in a normal full 3d overview which is where I normally export from. I just wndered if there was an export setting somewhere that made sure all layers were being exported, it's weird because its just not exporting the second floor, if move the entire roof to first floor it will export the roof, if i move roof to second floor not only will it not export the second floor but no roof either
  4. WHEN EXPORTING A 3D MODEL - FOR SOME RESON IT STOPPED EXPORTING THE SECOND FLOOR WAS WORKING FINE LAST WEEK, HAD SOME REVISION DONE TO THE SECOND FLOOR THIS WEEK BY AN EMPLOYEE NOW IT WONT EXPORT SECOND FLOOR IT GENERATES MODEL FINE WITHIN CHIEF, ANY SUGGESTIONS?
  5. Thank you for your response, I need to expand my question, If I am trying to generat a area schedule showing the living area, garage area, porch, patio how do I separate out these areas? I don't see a way to to make a polyline that would only select the garage or patio area. This seams like a simple task to do but I am struggling with it in this program, I must admit I am converting from Softplan to this program...
  6. over brick would just be the gross living area as usual on a normal house with 2x4 brick walls over framing would be the are limited to the outside of the studs... apparently his framer only charges him for the over framing area
  7. Is there a way to calculate living areas in the program? My client needs me to calculate living areas over brick and living areas over framing... Is there a way to do this other than just tracing a cad line or something?
