  1. excellent looking model. thanks for posting !
  2. Bob was busy on vacation, otherwise I would have gone with Bob. As it turns out, Bob's 2 week vacation was nothing compared to the four weeks I ended up waiting for an incomplete job. 3 weeks up front with no progress even after being promised verbally how hard he'd work at getting it done !
  3. Call you ? That's a hoot. When I talked to you on the phone, it was "going to get this done - work weekends not overtime. Then you ghosted me for 3 weeks. I was patient. I left you alone to do my design for three weeks. You, Charles missed every promised opportunity to turn my work around in a timely fashion and the 12.6 hours i received was a huge waste of money compared to waiting 5 weeks for the drafting service that was never completed. Then after selecting a builder, I contacted you about your schedule, and you said you could start them on a particular day, and you missed that start day by 1.5 weeks. Then you did some overpriced work and canceled the contract unfinished. What else is there to know ? Honestly, it was a terrible experience for me. You wasted my important time and my money. I figured I'd farm out the work so I could work on the plot plan. Had I known that Charles would waste 5 weeks and not finish the job, I'd have done it myself, which I ended up doing. Here's a little tid-bit after I inquired about the status of the job, days after his self promised complete date. Classy act, not. Search elsewhere for your services, guys. Charles has other things on his mind at 3am other than working on your jobs.
  4. If Charles Volz contacts you, RUN, don't walk away from his proposal. He didn't finish my project. 4 weeks wasted, waiting. $1500 for an unfinished job, flushed.
  5. Bob, I should have gone with my instinct and contracted with you to help me out with my plan. I ended up selecting someone because you were on vacation for a couple weeks. That other designer overpromised, way under delivered. They sold me the song and dance about how hard they worked, would work weekends for no extra to finish up my design. After paying, I waited 3 weeks for the first edits to be completed by the designer. A wasted three weeks ! After selecting a builder and notating the changes on PDF outputs, I contacted the designer regarding schedule. They they could fit me in on a particular day, great ! Not so much. They missing their own imposed promise date by a week and a half, then canceledthe contract, unfinished. Four an a half wasted weeks, $1600 flushed down the drain, unfinished design. Most of the changes I could have done myself, but elected to pay someone. What a mistake. In the four weeks wasted, waiting, I easily could have done everything. The project was canceled by the designer, unfinished, but the designer willingly took my money for the hours they "worked" !. Again, I should have gone with my instinct and contracted with you to help me out with my plan.
  6. Shayne, I tried that drag roof plan routine. didn't rebuild the roof planes, but rebuiltt he framing. I'm getting an odd truss layout towards the left hand side. when I look inside....hollow like a tim horton's donut.
  7. I can build a truss manually and copy it but i'll be danged if I can get CA to auto draw. Any tips on how to "change the direction" of the trusses appreciated. I even altered the dimensions of my deck to see if that was driving CA choosing joists over trusses.
  8. Hello Any ideas on how I get CA X15 to build scissor trusses? I made them about a couple weeks ago, then went on to tackle some other bugs. Now the trusses are being made like this. I did read the instructions (LINK) and made ceiling planes, as you can see below. But when I direct CA to make framing, I get these joists and not a scissor truss. Thanks in advance for any advice.
  9. I'll post the plan to my google drive, PM me for link. Single story residence 3000 sq ft is created, drawing is to snap, foundation us whole feet where possible, inches where not. Just looking for someone to put the finishing touches on my *.plan and send my plan to a *.layout file with adequate pages and specs to get a building permit approved in SE Michigan. I will start my laundry list of outstanding issues I need to get buttoned up in addition to needing the creation of a *.layout file
