  1. I like that idea. I created a symbol of my kitchen cabinets but I wasn't able to find a way to export just that symbol. The Chief Architect manual has information on importing 3D symbols, but I didn't notice anything on exporting 3D symbols.
  2. Ah. Turning on Framing, Wall Active Layer allowed me to see the wood slats in Vector View but Standard and Physically Based (Ray Trace) showed one flat wall with no wood slats until I hit the Build Framing For Selected Object(s) button. I didn't know that was a need step for this to work. Thanks for the help.
  3. I’ve figured out a method for creating dynamic design reveal videos like the one above, but I’d like a little more control over what I can move. In the video, I have all of the furniture, plants, and accessories flying in but ideally I would like to control the cabinets and the appliances from Chief Architect as well. I see I can control walkthrough key frames with Chief Architect but I don’t see a way to key frame the elements in the plan. Is there a way to do that? If there is not a way to key frame plan elements, is there a way to export just a selection of elements, like the cabinets and appliances? If so, I can import them as objects in my rendering projects and make them slide in. Thanks for any help.
  4. Hi Bob! I do most of my high end Chief Architect renderings using D5 Render https://www.d5render.com/. Once you have your 3D plans in D5 Render, you can do some fun animations. Check this one out below. D5 Render is fast, easy to work with, and cheaper than Lumion and Twinmotion.
  5. Hi Kbird1 this solution does not seem to work in X14. Any idea why it doesn't work?
  6. Hi. This is my first post and I thought I'd kick things off by sharing some information that I hope will help people trying to figure out which computer to buy for their Chief Architect design and rendering work. After watching countless hours of YouTube reviews and comparison videos of various computers and after buying other models like ASUS Raider, Lenovo Legion, and HP, I think I've finally found the best-priced laptop for Chief Architect at this point in 2022. The best part is the laptop is currently on sale at Costco for $200 OFF the regular $1,899 for a total of $1,699. HP OMEN 17.3" Gaming Laptop - 12th Gen Intel Core i7-12700H - GeForce RTX 3070 Ti - (2560 x 1440) 165Hz - Windows 11 https://www.costco.com/hp-omen-17.3"-gaming-laptop---12th-gen-intel-core-i7-12700h---geforce-rtx-3070-ti---(2560-x-1440)-165hz---windows-11.product.100854173.html The specs are really solid. I thought I might have problems not going with 32GB of RAM but the 16GB of RAM hasn't been an issue at all with Chief Architect. The downsides of the Lenovo and ASUS and HP were their 1920x1080 screens where the HP Omen has a beautiful 2560 x 1440 screen. The sound is also much better than the others. It still does not come close to the full sound of a Macbook Pro, but it's the best PC laptop sound out of the ones I've tested. The RTX 3070 Ti chews through 4K photorealistic renders like the ones below in 2 minutes compared to the ASUS and Lenovo laptops taking a lot longer or crashing. If you have any questions or think there is a better $1,700 RTX 17 inch laptop on the market, let me know. I hope this helps!
