  1. I did reach out and they seem open to adding it -

Thanks for the request. I’ll ask our content development team to pursue this.

We would be excited to partner with Huberwood to work on a digital catalog; we’ll try to reach out and create a connection with their team.

Would you do the same? We find that brands see the value of partnership when customers ask for digital access to their products in Chief Architect.

    Thanks so much!

  2. Hello,

I imported this nice symbol for a shower - https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/model/1d41e5de2d0d62249ab765831d580703/shower

Unfortunately, while I can modify the height of the symbol, I'd like a slim window over the shower so I can only go so far.    I'd like to move or delete the shower head but using delete surface (the way I'm trying to) is quite a chore as you have to delete every single item - e.g. shower water hole one by one.   Is there a way to select an area when deleting surfaces or can I some how move the shower head up about a foot?

  3. I notice sometimes a room seems very dim in physical view - I go to adjust lighting and just click Done and the room lights up.   I have 200 lights enabled.    I can wait there for 5 minutes they don't light up the room but the second I click on done in adjust lighting they are on.   Same issue if I have just 80.

Anyone else have this problem - if so is there a way to just have them on all the time without having to click adjust lighting?

  4. Hello,

Before we fix my 1st floor truss structure, or any wall framing,

I thought I'd ask for anything I should know about fixing the walls and floor of my basement.   For now it will be an unfinished basement - no idea if I'll change that - depends on the slope of the land which I haven't purchased yet.     I'm going to skip windows for now just to try and focus on one thing at a time or at least as few as possible as I get lost when I try to fix one thing it often makes something else all catawampus as I'm still at the early stage of learning the basics of CA.   I'm sure I'll add windows but for now I want to fix the wall structure and the floor.

I'd like to use this method of insulation as I haven't any reports that CC can cause efflorescence with the cement.   I was going to go with 10" 3/4" stone, then 2" of EPS then the closed cell - not sure if I need the 10 mil poly or not.  4" cement floor.

I'm not sure if I'd use a dimple mat or a protection board.

  5. Thanks - in the first post the plan is attached via the link.   I have two island rooms connected and the wall shared between the two stickes up higher than the shelf ceiling.   I'm trying to find out why that dividing wall sticks up.   I keep trying different ways of making it but don't seem to have a solution.   If I make one ceiling about an 1" taller than the other the dividing wall is the right height but when both rooms have the same height, the dividing wall sticks way up.

I can live with the 1" different but am curious why it sticks up if I make the ceilings the same height.

  6. Thanks, Tommy! When I get closer to having an idea what spaces I want, that will be important info!   I have a ton to learn.   I'd have someone who does this for a living fix my drawings but every nuggest like that helps me to get a little more realistic.

So are you saying I'd throw some framing up between the foam on the walls and attach the island rooms to that framing?
