Import a surveyor dwg: terrain layers come in as blocks

I have been trying to import a dwg from a surveyor, but the topo lines are coming in as blocks. I did select to convert to polyline at the beginning of the import wizard. Can anyone offer any suggestions on what I may be doing wrong? Plot lines not working

When I send my elevations to layout it will not let me select Plot Lines. I have a Mac, could it be because of my Graphics Card? I have a Radeon Pro 455 2 GB Intel HD Graphics 530 1535 MB I am using Chief 13x Please help any replies would be so greatly appreciated.
