Elevation Showing Sun Shadows?

I have an elevation that has shadows from sunlight even when it is sent to the layout space as plot lines with out a fill color... How do I turn this off please? I tried in layer management and it still hasn't turned off...

We're a small design firm looking to collaborate with a licensed architect who uses Chief. We specialize in Kitchens & Baths so the primary need is for additional details for framing as needed for new windows & engineering for opening load bearing walls etc. We are currently collaborating with an architect but his workload is becoming more than he can handle for many of our projects to be completed in a timely manner. An architect and I are looking for someone in the San Francisco Bay Area to do measure drawings aka As-Built services. Accuracy is crucial to the 1/16th of an inch (as is reasonably possible)! Is there an easy way to show cabinet doors as open without having to leave the doors off the cabinets and painstakingly add each door separately?
