What did it say? pretty sure I used X12 as I saw it in your Sig. ...try the ones below as the plan is definitely in X12
I actually think you would be better off just making the Door a symbol ( no frame or transom)
and installing it into a Hinged Auto Door Frame and configure from there....
Front Entry Door - Half Circle Motif.calibz 4.27 MB · 4 downloads
Perfect, thanks!

Setting it to Fixed , not Auto in the Symbol Options , should fix that.
Once you place it in a new plan you need to set the height to 152" ( will pick up default 80") and set the Arch to Broken at 32"
Arched Front Entry Door.calibz 4.52 MB · 3 downloads
** see note in my 1st post
Can you please save to Chief X12, I can't read the new file, thanks

What you saved to the Library and Exported is actually an Architectural Block not a Symbol, ( drop into a new plan to check it)
once it is a Symbol ( convert it ) you should be able to use the CAD Block you show as the Symbol's CAD Block
by assigning it to the Door using Open Symbol>CAD Block Tab.
** If you convert it to a Door Symbol ( door's are parametric ) you can't control the CAD block but can still place the cad block Manually.
and maybe the easiest way to handle this particular Door to get the Round/arched Hole in the Wall.
Mick.
Sorry, changed it to Interior Symbol...when I tried Door Symboll it looks like a garage door in the plan view.

Another contribution to this great Commmunity! It took me 1/2 a day to create a Modern Double Entry System for a Client and so here you have it! Enjoy!Since I'm not an Expert at this I couldn't figure out how to create a fuller Symbol with door swing lines or how to add the "Door Opening Surround I used to create a door with exteior and Interior Molding like the finished product has....maybe one of you Experts can Tutor me lol!The top pic shows the door in the wall, the next pic shows the Symbol Exported and the last pic shows what I would like it to look like as a Symbol but couldn't get this view with the door swings.

After receiving some excellent critical constructive feedback from Eric (Solver) I recreated my ornate driveway gate this time a little smaller 17' vs 20' and I made it in a half section for those that would like to use a swinging gate rather than a sliding gate. And yes, it was a PAIN creating the baubles since I couldn't find them anywhere!!!

There are a few in the library. I think they are rocks instead of boulders but you can set them up on distribution paths and have them change angles, off-sets, and sizes automatically. You can paint color manually on them to build rock walls.
Thanks! I grabbed a few and added them into our symbols Library to save others the trouble of having to search the Internet and then upload into Chief!

Very impressive. Did you model that door in
Chief as well? Looks like you are definitely
in good hands as far as the fabrication goes.
Thanks, yes I had the Fabricator send me CAD files of some of the basic shapes and then I modified them and created the design, however, I did not take the time to create actual CAD blocks and create a Model/Symbol as I did with the gate.
QuoteThe Live Oak Estates are really our inside joke. They are actually a pair of 480 sq ft one bedroom, one bathroom rental units that we are now passing off as an exclusive
gated community.
LOL, hey whatever works!

I suppose that I can create a few with CAD blocks but thought I would ask first!

Will you need to put a horizontal bar near the top for the rollers to ride on?
I hope not, I am hopeful that the rollers can ride on the lower bar I created but will find out when I meet with the Fabrication Company next week. The good news is that they are extremely capable! Just look at the VERY unique 10' wide by 12' tall entry door that I designed for my personal residence and they fabricated it exacted as designed!

Could you post the associated plan file -- one with the parts before turning into a symbol?
Done!

DivewaygateR1.planDivewaygateR1.planThe only thing that I didn't create in 3D are the birdcages that go onto the bars. Enjoy!
UPDATE! I found a few errors in the plan (an extra spindle and an overlap in the base so I corrected these, smoothed the radii as recommended below and added the Claovs to the bottom as well. PLEASE use the R1 files, sorry for the original miscue!

Does OneDrive have versions or history you can revert to? Depends on where your files were originally located.
My files are not backed up on OneDrive, I have them backed up on a 2TB hard-drive and as I mentioned earlier, I don't see anything on it after a complete search

John, do you use DropBox or Carbonite? DB has a version/history feature that allows recovering older versions and CArbonite backs up everything..
Yes, I have OneDrive so I just need an e-mail address to share a Folder with, that would be awesome!

Thanks for the options and additional input folks, unfortunately I have always deleted the .calibz files. What's interesting is that I did find the the Program Data Hidden Files and there were only a handful of .calibz files there....very strange, oh well lesson learned because I did a file search on my 2TB back-up drive and there is nothing there either.
Can Chief X11 make a proper tile roof gable edge?

What exactly are you asking? The term used here in Phoenix for the Molding under the the roof ends is a "rolled soffit". This is made by using a styrofoam molding and stucco applied over it. Here is where you add it in Chief:
