  1. The issue is the same on X14. I'm having the exact same problem as Justin. Only difference is the rotate worked fine in X11. Now it doesn't work in X14. Is there a setting or something? Chief Architect, are you going to fix this? Its really inconvenient and a great way to drive away customers.
  2. I'm using x11. I'm drawing a foundation plan that uses a reference display set of the floor above. I'm looking for the option that draws the reference floor first in the layout, but can't find anything. Where did it go? Is there another way to accomplish what I want?
  3. This is a general question to Chief Architect and the community: Does the Chief Architect software have any compatibility with the giant 3D Printers that are constructing houses? I've seen several youtube videos of what are essentially CNC/3D Printing machines constructing houses out of a modified concrete mix. I'm wondering if there is a new wall type in the works that would be compatible or maybe software tweaks? So far as I can tell, the people building these machines prefer you to buy their product and the software comes with it. That would be an interesting feature to have in Chief. If a definite answer does not exist, then I hope this starts a conversation.
  4. jbaehmer, I tried what you suggested and changed the wall type setting which puts the dimension on the drywall as you said. That is not a good option for me, but I thank you for the suggestion all the same. It seems like chief would have an option to decide where you want your dimensions to be no matter one's back ground or preferences. Anyway I can manage by dimensioning manually.
  5. Is there a way to change the default dimension setting that dimensions to the bottom and left of an interior wall, so that the default setting dimensions to the top and right of interior wall? The reason I ask is that I was taught to dimension Interior walls to the top and right and it is very irksome that chief's default is bottom and left. I can achieve the result I want by using manual dimension, but its irksome that there is no obvious way (to me anyway) to change that default.
  6. Thank you to both responses. You have answered my question.
  7. How do I get the Reference Floor Layer Set option to show up in the Layer Set Manager dialog box? I'm running X11 and have no idea if chief got rid of that option or if I just can't find the check box that says, "display this". The Help window was no help. Just told me what it is and what it does.
