Still not as efficient as Softplan's "repeat edit" tool. Why do I have to hunt down a seemingly endless list of attributes and tick off what I want changed on the next item?
That is, if I've just opened up the db on an item and made changes then that IS the "list" of attributes. I should just be able to click on "object painter" and then select all the like objects that I want to match.
Anyone?....
I would love a monthly subscription based version of Chief that included "cloud rendering" like for Revit. Always up to date version of Chief with SSA of course.
Am I alone with this?
Actually the tool I use that's closest to the 'repeat edit' tool is the 'select same type' tool.
However it's a little too convoluted for this type of action. Too many parameters. I find myself hunting through the list and often selecting the wrong one and as a result nothing happens.
Softplan has a great tool for this. It's called the "repeat edit" tool.
I really miss this tool.
After making changes to whatever item in question, then click the repeat edit tool and then click on any other item to make it take on the newly updated changes.
Fortunately it's the only thing I miss.
Chief is king.
Thanks buddy!
It was a combination of both being off.
I did try those, but in a state of panic, I was turning one on and leaving the other off.
Both textures and color had to be on.... Duh.
Sorry for wasting everyone''s time on this.
Not sure what I did wrong.
Suddenly my furniture lost its color and is white in all views except the Vector view.
If I'm in Standard or any other view except Vector and I select "final view" then the original colors appear.
However I don't want the "final view" look.
If I open the dbx of any given furniture piece and go to the Materials tab the color and material is indeed there and the little image shows color.
I tried displaying "all" in the display options just in case I had inadvertently thrown things onto other layers that were turned off.
Please help...
Thanks,
Michael

Thank you so much!
Never used the "open symbol" tool.
I thought it was the same as the "open object" tool all this time...
How newbie of me.
This forum is amazing by the way.
I created a sloped driveway, that slopes from garage to sidewalk -3 degrees. When I place a vehicle on the driveway it sits level to the xy plane. How would one get it to sit parallel to my driveway slope?
I didnt see anything in the vehicles dbx to perform this.
I also tried to manipulate it in a cross section view.
Am I missing something obvious?
