Hi, i have overhead doors in an icf wall and the casing shows up right in 3d views but is missing in elevation views, what is going on? I tried different options on door but nothing seems to work. Any ideas? David

I was trying to look for drywall on the material list and found this post. Are we saying that ca will not include board for walls? if so this is totally ridiculous. Am i missing something?

I figured it out..the foam was not in the main layers, once i move it to main layers the walls aligned. I wonder why ca would have foam outside of main layers as a standard? David

I am trying to align a ICF foundation with an ICF wall above. Even though i have the platform, dimension and foundation set to outside of foam block for both walls the foundation wants to align the inside of the exterior foam with the outside of the exterior foam above. What am i missing?

Too bad we still cant change start point coordinates for hatch pattern for each room to show tile patterns.

Could the upgrades to CA have out stripped this card on my laptop? The rating for my laptop gtm540 was 701 and my work box gtx670 is 5385...on my work machine i have no delay at all when rotating a 3d model with shadows on...

i have latest ca software update.

the model i am using is only about 4megs large, my laptop is gateway nv57h13h with 8 gigs of ram and a i7 -2670qm chip...my office laptop has a very good video card..with this model it has to rebuild shadows...at work it doesnt rebuild at all.

i am getting very slow response to moving around in 3d view mode, even the simplest 4 walls and and a roof with shadows on is jerky, a regular model locks the machine up. not having this trouble on my desktop machine at work. \ any ideas out there? here is a snap shot of my driver status

Did anyone notice that the electrical label is preset at 16" off fixture? There is no way to adjust this globally that i can find. Just got off phone with ca and they say no specification for this like doors or window labels. It is too far away for me.

Hi guys, i exited out of ca and restarted and re-rendered and the stools came back. it didn't mater what options i was choosing in ray trace they would not show. I have a gtx670 nvidia video card with 8gb ram..driver is up to date. Thanks for the responses.

I am trying to raytrace a kitchen scene with some bar stools and ca is not showing stools in raytrace? Any Ideas? David x6
