I am a self taught draftsman. I drew a rather crude set of not to scale plans on graft paper when I was in the 7th grade. My teacher had the class do this assignment he was a builder but teaching a math or history class. I was the only student to get 100% he said I put the most effort into the assignment. I was learning to draft by hand on velum but I decided to move to the computer. I am 37 and I just started to get serous about Architecture as it's something I love doing and my friend is building a house so I said let me draw your plans. I am using Chief Architect X12, I designed my first set of plans and they got approved the first time but only because I checked everything with the contractor and the homeowner. I'm still learning and I hope to design more plans soon.
