I give up I guess it cant be done. Why are these roofs so difficult with all this rebuild crap Cant this program build section of a roof without rebuilding the entire roof or roofs in a project? Thanks

Thanks for all your help. I'm having problems when I go to build roof plain and it rebuilds the entire roof instead of just the Gable over the window. I watched this video: https://www.chiefarchitect.com/videos/watch/1503/using-the-gable-roof-line-tool.html I'm pretty sure this is what I want. Thanks again I will slowly get it eventually.

Wondering why tutorial videos buffer all the time? They must host on slow servers. I have 600Mb service It makes watching them most unenjoyable

I am new to CA and am trying to figure this one out. Roof Dormer Effect or Roof Overhang over window. I have watched multiple videos but can't find the answer. Trying to create this roof effect with no luck. I have tried the Dormer tool and building it manually Could someone explain or point me in the direction of a good video tutorial. Trying to get a Shed Roof from the top of the second floor wall to the top of the first floor wall / Shed Roof Spanning Two Floors Any help would be appreciated, I am new to CA and am having problems with this one. Another question. I cant get the entry wall to change to" interior material" from the "blue siding" I used the material eyedropper but it just changes the color and does not get rid of the siding material? I am using the default "siding-6" wall type just like the rest of the exterior walls Thanks in advance

Thanks for the help. Still not sure what was causing it, but I just deleted the wall and rebuilt it and it is fine. Could you fill me in on the cause? Thanks

Yes exactly but not sure how you got that, every time I tried it gave me the other result. Even when I would turn on auto rebuild. Could you give me a little explanation what you did to achieve the results. If you could send the fixed file back so I could compare to my file. Thank you so much. I have only been working with Chief Architect for about a week. I find the roof building quite confusing. Thanks again.

I am new to the forums and was wondering if someone is willing to help me with some roof issues. I have been trying for 3 days and can't figure this out. Trying to get a section of a mostly flat roof to show as gable but it keeps cutting the point off the gable roof to a flat section? Any help would be much appreciated. The attached photos show my problem. I need to get the Gable to a point at the top not sure why it keeps creating this flat section. The Black included image is what I need.
