Nope, even with 7 open and running the calibz file tries to launch 6 for me. Any other thoughts?

When I tried to rerun the Calibz file, it tried to open X6. I have not yet changed Associations to X7. I will try that and report if it works

They did not import correctly into x7 for me. Any thoughts?

The elevation tool requires that you shoot the elevation from inside a room, but the cross section tool does not have this restriction.

Hi,

Create a cross section, draw a polyline box, convert it to a solid at 1/2", apply a material to it.  Should work. I am also working in X6, but this has worked for a long while in Chief. Might work for you in HD

waiting for this and for windows RT version ( I suspect i will be waiting for awhile)

It is solved!   Thank you all. It was in fact pointed at the wrong card. The Nvidia utility was the key. I love that our community is so helpful!

Hi everyone,

I went ahead and bought myself an x6 hardware lock, I did the updates on my laptop including the video drivers. The lappy is  a Toshiba core I7  64 bit with 8 gigs of RAM running windows 7 and has an nvidia card. Chief runs in 2d beautifully, but when I try any 3d view I get a black box on the screen for less than a second and then an empty view window. No error messages,and All the tools are visible and functional, but no model appears in said window. Some of you know that I am a bit of a troubleshooter, but I am drawing a blank this evening. Thoughts? Suggestions? i will call tech support on Monday if no one has any working solution to share. I have my main rig and it is working fine, but I was hoping to resolve this on the weekend because the week is full.
