  1. I created a layer to use in a remodel project but now don't need it. I was able to delete the Layer Set that I created but am having trouble deleting the layer. The "Delete" button is grayed out. Is there a way to get rid of it?
  2. I made a simple thing complex. Thanks to all for the help!
  3. Hi all, In this plan# 3.02.15 when inserting a door on an interior wall, CA inserts the default exterior door. The images on the default panel are correct but are labeled "Exterior" for both Interior and Exterior doors. I believe it worked correctly in this plan before but now it doesn't. I suspect that CA thinks the interior wall I'm trying to place the door on is an exterior wall because CA thinks the perimeter walls don't connect, however I've checked them and actually drew a perimeter wall around the plan just to test. It didn't have any effect. Oddly enough I checked to see how a brand new clean plan behaves. In the new test plan door insertion does work properly except that the default images are reversed, that is, the interior default image label is "Exterior" and visa versa. What do you think? 4. Thanks you two. Used the input point coordinates and point to point move tricks. You all keep helping me and I might graduate from novice to beginner..
  5. Hi all. On a remodel project I didn't draw hatched cad boxes over the walls to be demolished before deleting those walls. Instead of re-drawing all the demo walls in the remodel plan, I'm trying to use a previously saved as-built plan as a reference. I have rotated the plans a few times as I was developing them. So now, the as-built reference doesn't line up with the remodel. Has anyone ever run into this? Do you know of a way to snap the two plans at a marked point?
  6. rgardner: Good grief! So simple. Thanks for helping this novice. F1 key...thanks Mark..
  7. Right-o Chris. It is a sink that was in a base cabinet. Don't know how I deleted the cabinet without the sink. Checked, and it's not a locked layer. I attached the plan file. Driftwood Plan 3.02.11.zip
  8. Hi all. I have a fixture object that won't accept selection; can't click on it.. Surrounding it doesn't work. Turned layers off and on, double clicked the plan view in Project Browser to reset it, and restarted CA. Rebooted the computer. I only have one plan view open. I see from other posts that this has been an issue before but double clicking on the plan view to reset it worked. That hasn't worked in this case. Anyone else seen this?
  9. My plan view default choices are missing. I'm working on a plan in X12 that was started in Home Designer Pro 2016 Build: 17.3.2.2x64. Maybe I inadvertently deleted them. Is there a way to import the default plan views?
  10. Where's the setting to adjust text size for Down (DN) and UP text for a stair? I know it's here somewhere, just can't find it.
  11. I had walls configured wrongly that grayed out the ceiling finish dialog. Fixed that and it worked. You're a genius. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Now go have a cold one.
  12. Ha ha. You forgot the beer. Really, If the "Flat Ceiling Over This Room" box is un-checked we lose the ceiling joists. I want to keep the ceiling joists but remove the drywall to expose the ceiling joists.
  13. What's the trick to remove drywall from a ceiling to expose the ceiling joists.... like in an unfinished garage?
