  1. I added some more details. Not sure if this will help. Cross section shows 83.5" high with plate. The Room Specification shows the height at 57.5", what I want it to be. Some items are grayed out, "floor above", "SWT to Ceiling" and a few others. The porch off to the side and the Pillers are correct. Don't want to mess things up by changing to many things.
  2. Cross section shows exterior CMU stem wall height 83.5" tall. Room Specification/Structure shows stem wall 57.5" tall and is grayed out. This is a crawl space. The room specification is correct. Don't want to change the height, just want the cross section the 57.5 height. The attached garage is correct and is not grayed out in the Room Specification and shows correctly in the cross sections.
  3. Things keep changing not sure why. What happen to Cabinet Configuration, Electrical Configuration? Or where are they?
  4. had the roofs locked. somehow lost a section where the gable overlays. Can't seem to put it back without losing the attic wall. tried redrawing the attic moving it, but still lose it. plus there is this gutter that won't go away. even when i delete the roof section.

    Problem

I don't know what has happen. I got walls when viewed perspective have horz siding a tan color. I cant change them. I make them blue and as i go around the house i find one wall blue. same wall type siding 6. open any wall details and it has blue siding buy views tan. I have attic walls with no siding, but view with tan siding. change them to vertical siding white. still shows horz tan siding, except that one wall it changes.
  7. so the best way is put everything on the plan files and I can always turn off layers in the Layout files.
  8. Where is the best place to place callouts, text or notes on the plan files or the layout files.
  9. In the library i have a folder User Catalogs but it is empty. how do i link it back up. I see all the files in my "Chief Architect Premier X15 data" file.
  10. am i doing something wrong in X15. In the library browser I could click on a folder and below i would get previews on the object in that folder. Such as Showers/Shower Pans. I would see the 7 or so small previews of them making it easier to select the one i needed.

    Soffit?

Solved: The roof plan is on the first floor. Next to it is a two-story section. When the plan touches the two-story section, the soffit jumps up like shown in the picture. Just had to use the break line at the soffit overhang and then move the roof plan against the second story section. thanks everyone for looking

  20. I have an old plan and been saving it from X2-X6. When I open it in X9 the walls can not be opened or adjusted. It seems that everything else can be opened. The walls seem to be poly lines. I never opened it and saved it in X7 or X8. Any suggestion on opening it so it can be worked on? CulottaX6 041414.plan
  21. Before I started a plan I changed the cabinet defaults with the white wrench. I wanted a dark color. When I was all done. I thought it was too dark. I changed the defaults, again with the white wrench, to a lighter color. No change in the plan. If I change a single cabinet to lets say white, then select it. I click the white wrench with the red plus sign to change the defaults. No change. It seems the only way I can change the cabinet color is to change one cabinet, then use the I dropper on the remaining cabinets.
