I am a long time user of Chief Architect since version 3.0 and have been in the residential design business for over 30 years designing projects of all sizes in renovations, additions and new homes.   2. you have to click on the edge of the roof plane that need fixing and then put a "break" point in and then drag the edge to the point you want it to end. In the first image you would "break" the edge of the valley and then turn the plane 90d to then make the fascia correct as it is on the other side

My practice extends across the S.E. workig remotely and have done many projects for clients, builders, and design/builders successfully.
