Issues 2Nd Floor And 2Nd Floor Roof

i am doing a small remodeling and having issues getting the 2nd floor to show up.When I try to build second floor roof it deletes one wall by stair. garage will be gable on each end 25

1" walls. need to open up stair to 2nd level. can anyone help. I am just adding open second floor room for stg. it keeps doubl labling rooms also like stair area.
