Roof Girder Truss Issues

Hi all.   New chief user here.  We are making a switch from an old pseudo BIM / autocad system that we have completed hundreds of high-end residential projects on, and I am having a hell of a time getting roof girder and overlay  trusses to frame properly.  At gable-end roof change, we typically draw a  girder at the out face of stud from supported roof - please see the attached PDF.

 

It this possible?  I added a girder truss line and the software says it can't build the truss.  I have also added a truss base and I get errors on the oerlay truss creation.  I would love any insight that any of you may have.  Thanks in advance.
