no temporary dimensions

Hi,

 

I'm having trouble figuring out how to get the temporary dimensions to display when I draw a CAD item. They used to pop up clicked on the side of a rectangle or anything of that nature. I've tried turning on all the dimension options in the layer settings but no dimensions. I've tried opening an entirely new plan but still no temporary dimensions. I must have done something somewhere along the line but I can't figure out what it might be. Any suggestions? X10

Temporary dimensions can be enabled/disabled by going to View> Temporary Dimensions.
