Rataridicta
Hello, For a bathroom I'm designing I want to make a custom bath and shower. Now for this I have made a CAD drawing in my plan. I am however unable to elevate this CAD drawing in order to make it a 3D object. Can someone tell me how to do this? Thanks in advance!
Solution mcrump Posted January 7, 2015 Solution Share Posted January 7, 2015 For quick and dirty, turn it into a polyline solid and give it a thickness and elevation.
Rataridicta
For quick and dirty, turn it into a polyline solid and give it a thickness and elevation. Thank you! It is working beautifully! If you want a lot of detail in your 3D objects, I usually create the custom object in Sketchup Pro and then import it to CA. Most of the time I can find something fairly close in the SU's 3D Warehouse, modify it and then export it to CA. You can use the SU materials, or change the materials once the object is in CA. I find CA CAD tools very difficult to use to create complex 3D objects and I know I can literally create anything in SU. For now I'm trying to keep it modest. Working out some simple objects.
