Deck Error message And Show Newels

Hello again,

I am getting an error message saying the deck is not over a deck room?  What does that mean?  It does not seem to affect anything and I can ignore the message.  However, any change made to any wall where the deck touches it generates that message, i.e. if I add a window, door, etc.
Next issue..how do I get the newels and balusters to show in plan view?  I checked "draw newels " but they still do not show up in plan view.  Layers are on so I what do I need to do to get them to show up?

No, it is an outside deck over the ground below.  Attached to the building on three walls.

So, what is a "deck room".
