System Reset Help Please

Hi Chiefs,

 

I am on the precipice of resetting my computer because my disc space is almost gone on my computer. 

I am creating a backup using a 3 terabyte, using the "file history" tool in windows 10, which will easily contain the disc space. 

I am leery of the reset because A. I dont want to loose anything important to my company B. I dont want to loose any of the settings in Chief Architect C. I do not understand file back up that well, although I have read a few how to guides about it online.

 

Can you please give me some tips of what to do, what not to do, and what to expect. 

Is there a way for me to select what programs I would like to keep before a reset?

How long should it take for the file history backup take to complete for the first time (500GB) ?

How long does the reset take?

What have you experienced?

Am I doing this right?
