  1. Also might want to confirm that your foundation is building under those walls, it doesnt appear to be. your foundation should be showing under the brick on the pop out as it is showing around the bottom of the rest of the perimeter ext walls. I would say this might be the reason, since the sub flooring is not lining up with your perimeter wall floors.
  2. Click on the corner you want to edit and click the button circled on the toolbar, it will let you in a way treat the wall like an exploded CAD block and let you edit and pull each layer of the wall to your desired location.
  3. Awesome I got it!!! Thanks so much guys!!
  4. This is what Im trying to do if someone understands what I am talking about??
  5. Hi guys, Im currently trying to make a stucco water table for the top of my 36 IN tall rock Wainescoat/Ponywall. I have attempted to use the Molding Polyline for a bellyband type effect, though the wainescoat only goes around half of the back of the house, the entire front is a full rock face. I know that you can apply a molding polyline to a bellyband affect for the total exterior of the house, but i only need a partial one. There has to be an easier way to do this than to have to make a new CAD polyline and make it a solid then have to place each one in particularly on top of each rock wainescoat. Thanks guys.
  6. Hi Larry, I did as you said, so I will see if anything changes. I would also appreciate if anyone has some screen grabs that they can share with me of your chosen Preferences inside X8 and also the Nvidia Control Panel 3D settings that works best for yall. Anything will help! Thanks guys!!
  7. @ Dan Parker, for some reason your suggestion half way worked. I was able to boot into Chief faster than I ever have, Im guessing due to my 950 pro SSD. Though in plan view it still seems somewhat laggy in the startup portion of the plan and gets a little better after a couple of minutes. @ Joe, I went to the NCP and it was showing system recommended as my default setting for physx. Though strange, it was saying that the default physx gpu was the 980ti (2) while my monitors are plugged in via displayport into the #1 980ti. Im still trying to figure this stuff out, Im at a loss. @ Kiwideziner, I was wary about upgrading to windows 10 pro, but i figured the pro version ehhhh, it will be fine, Im sure chief is made for 10 pro. I have done a memory scan, even one i let run for over 12 hours, nothing bad was detected. My next thing to try is HDMI instead of Displayport, not sure if that will help though. And can someone tell me why my internet connection could have to do with my entire system and programs lagging so bad????
  8. Unless Im wrong, I dont think the Asus X99 Mobo has an integrated gpu, and if it does i think i would have found it somewhere in all the settings ive been through and the nvidia control panel.
  9. Joe, I used to have Avast but got rid of it now i just have windows defender and i just added the files to have them excluded also do yall have screen shots of what yalls preference settings are and if so could you share so i could try them out?
  10. Mark thank you for trying. Yes Im running Windows 10 Pro 64 Bit version
  11. Joe, I have set all preferences to what tech support told me to do and still nothing helped. Can you explain the AV software stuff please?
  12. Drawzilla, almost everything in 3D is turned off, Generated sky, sun follows camera, backdrop, auto rebuild roof, foundation, terrain ect. its like barebones
  13. Hi Joe, yes this has been a problem in all plans since I have switched to X8, and excuse me for asking since this is my first time on the forum, how am I attaching this plan for you on here? I personally dont feel like they have a whole lot of symbols, I mean these houses are between 2500 to 4000 SF.
  14. Well there are two ways to do this, if you are wanting them to view camera views, as in actually being able to zoom in close, you can have them download Chief Viewer from the CA website and have them view it that way if your comfortable with sending them your .Plan file. You can always export a current view by taking a wall elevation or cross section view or any view for that matter and export it as a jpg. file which is a picture file. However it most likely would not be to scale. I think the best way to do this is to take a cross section or wall elevation view and send to a layout page that is connected with your .Plan file, then adjust the drawing page setup which is under your file tab. Then under the same file tab, go to print, then to print to PDF and adjust your settings from there. Now if you are wanting the other party to be able to zoom into the PDF at a good resolution, I would make sure they have Adobe PDF Reader, which I believe is free from their website and you can zoom into the PDF.
  15. Just some extra info, I have downloaded all previous updates available for X8 and have downloaded all previous updated drivers for my GPU's. I am also running on Windows 10 Pro OS.
  16. Hi Richard, are you trying to send a .Plan file or a PDF?
  17. Hey guys, my name is Aaron, this is the first time ever posting on the forum, so bear with me. I started out in Home Designer Pro 2014 in late 2014 and it did pretty good for what I needed at that time and helped me teach myself the program. I then upgraded to X7 about 3-4 months ago and it also worked well for me and the system I am running it on. I waited until X8 got out of the beta version that was offered and then installed X8 full version. I have noticed significant slow down in ecspecially the 2d plan view and then it sometimes takes 10-15 seconds to activate any 3D camera. Im fairly familiar with most settings in Defaults and Preferences. Im not sure if it is something Im doing wrong or if its just the software. I have reported ever portion of slow down to tech support and am a SSA member and somewhat expect a little more out of them telling me that they arent sure whats going on, because they are not noticing any slow down in their systems. I can no way think that it has anything to do with my system I am running, unless yall can tell me different. See Computer specs below This is a custom built system that my friend and I put together as a workstation for Chief. - Asus (X-99) 3.1 Deluxe MOBO - Intel Core I7 5930K Processor @ 3.5 mhz - 4X8 GB = 32 GB of Corsair DDR4 Dominator Platinum Ram - Corsair H-110i Liquid Cooled CPU Radiator Fan - 2 Gigabyte GTX 980TI Windforce MSI Gaming Series Stiff Bridge in SLI - Corsair AX1200i Power Supply - 1 Two TB Western Digital 6700 RPM Internal Hard Drive (Black Edition) - 1 Samsung 950 Pro M.2 NVME SSD 512GB - Chassis is Corsair 760T with three default internal fans - 2 LG Curved 34 inch Monitors connected by way of Display Port Cables to the GPUS Guys Im trying to stay with Chief because I do like the program and it is the only architectural program I know, but myself and another business partner run three separate businesses and I DO NOT have time for losing any productivity or slow down - Hence, why I spent approximately $7,000.00 on this system - Ive started looking at Revit or Sketchup as options to have to learn a new program, but Im really not wanting to do that or have the time to do that. But I need more from Tech Support telling me that they dont know what is going on or that it might be fixed by the time Chief X9 comes out next year. "Are you Freaking Kidding Me" I dont see how Tech Support thinks that people can run a business like that and me as the consumer paying $300.00 a month or whatever it is to rent the program and this is what I get. Sorry guys just a TINY bit irritated. Is there anyone that can help me understand what is going on????
