  1. Ok so at this point, the answer is no, CA does not permit or have a way to increase the size of icons independently inside the software. Is that correct?
  2. Joe, I was just kidding hehehe. But yes, it's important that we are here to make our use of a great software even better. I just wish I could see it better! lol
  3. This reminds me of the epic scene where Kirk gets in Spock's face to cause Spock to become emotionally compromised where by Spock physically attacks Kirk, whereby Spock relieves himself due to his inability to carry on his commission.....This is exciting...I Like this site...
  4. Unfortunately I see ( no pun intended ) that this isn't an issue solely on me.
  5. This is the size of the icons and text now - This is font size 14. This is about the size that I want the icons - This is font size 48. I don't want to keep squinting & switching between my buck $2.98 Walmart reading glasses to the "Chief Architect glasses". So, help me out folks, what can I do to prevent early blindness?
  6. Um, then what? That button is checked and the icons are Still Teeny Tiny.
  7. I don't want to start changing my Windows setting or my Video card when I work with CA. All of my other software packages are fine. I was hoping that within CA, I can resize icon size, toolbar text size, dropdown icon and text size.
  8. Again, referring to ACAD, because it is my point of reference, I can change the size of icons in preferences. Where can I do this in CA?
  9. This is X7. EVERYTHING is super small LOL!
  10. Ok I'll admit it, I'm getting older. Is there a way to make the icons larger? Instead of using a telescope or sitting 6 inches from the monitor, what can I do?
  11. Yep, Great help folks, Thanks. There are a ton of practices that make using this software platform quite nice. It's the simple fact of condensing years of collected experience into hours. lol
  12. Perry, Yep I'd agree to some level. With ACAD I can do Layouts with great similarity to CA. Layers do work well and the only thing is that with CA you can create "SETS". Those do help. So once I get that figured out, I'll be fine.
  13. Bob ( Preston ), Woo Hoo that's the ticket! That works Great! Because I am still slowly moving back and forth and eventually to Chief, Especially when doing Line work for details and sections, having specific things on specific layers is essential. Once I get more set up with things this probably won't be an issue. But this works great, thanks.
  14. Old habits die hard. As a long time AutoCAD user, the freedom to simply click on the layer that is to be active is appealing to me. Having to set up a Set seems to be forcing me to do something that I don't have flexibility to do something on the fly. I just have to reconfigure my mind set when using the software.
  15. Is there a way to Manually set the "Active" layer by going to the Active Layer Display? I'm an experienced AutoCAD user and still use AutoCAD practices. I can't seem to find this in User Manuals anywhere or in video.
  16. Set the Default Fill Pattern to what I want? It appears that the default fill pattern is angled line. I want to be able to change the default per the layer set I'm in. For instance, when I do marketing plans I go back and put a Solid Hatch in on walls. I'd like to be able to set a default for a Layer set where I can show Existing in one color and New in another color.
